probably anxious and insecure, but let me tell you something: there is
always a first time and it is always difficult with a good pair of
tips.
First, you lose the fear of breaking something, use your camera safely and experience taking pictures left and right, that's the best way to learn and take full advantage of all features.
However, there are a number of maxims that are considered basic when first press the shutter of an SLR.
1 - Read the manual. No doubt this seems the most obvious but more than proven that most people skip this important step.
2 - Learn one thing at a time. Choosing as you see it more interesting or useful, a topic at a time: shutter speed, ISO, depth of field, etc., and devote yourself to it with great dedication. Feel secure in each of the topics you learn before moving on.
3 - Experiment. Fear not ignore the automatic mode and start researching the different functions of your camera. Try the many configurations and combinations that allow you to do without fear that the resulting images are not what you wanted, do it simply for the pleasure of experiencing and learning. Shutter speed, aperture, exposure, lighting, all of these issues can be known to the letter in a theoretical way, but just trying to learn on your own to get the most out of each.
4 - Socialize. Search for other more experienced photographers who can advise and help. It's always fun to learn and practice when it is accompanied by individuals with our own interests. A photographic safari through the city, and serve to learn new things, can be an excellent way to make new friends and spend time more than pleasant.
5 - Learn about 3 basic things: a) depth of field - b) opening - c) shutter speed. Once you've mastered these 3 techniques made a breakthrough in your catch.
And finally, it takes many, many photographs, do not get tired of shooting, have fun and practice at the same time, and you'll soon see the achievements.
